Biography

Early life

Tarfful was born in c. 197 BBY on the planet Kashyyyk in the coastal city of Kachirho. He went through his hrrtayyk ceremony in 185 BBY. Tarfful eventually became the leader of Kachirho and served for decades. He did not let his role in politics affect his warrior's edge, as he stayed in shape by vigorous exercise and hazardous hunting trips. At some point prior to the Clone Wars, Tarfful became friends with his cousin Chewbacca.

Imperial slave

Before the Galactic Civil War broke out, Tarfful spent years fighting Trandoshan slavers on Kashyyyk, who were backed by the Galactic Empire. Tarfful went missing and the Wookiees assumed he was lost. He was in fact caught by the slavers, and was being held in one of their camps. Delta Team, of the Alderaanian Resistance, was tasked to rescue him. They found that the slavers were going to hand him to Executor Darth Vader for interrogation, so they battled through the camp to rescue him. Tarfful managed to kill one of the Stormtroopers attempting to drag him to the Dark Lord's ship. Delta Squad took down the guards, and escorted Tarfful to his men. Tarfful soon fought in the Battle of Kashyyyk, but he was again rounded up and became a slave for the Empire, destined to help build the first Death Star.

Yuuzhan Vong War

Shortly after the outbreak of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Tarfful attended the funeral of his old friend Chewbacca. Later on in the war, the invaders would threaten peace on Kashyyyk. As leader of the city of Kachirho, he oversaw a battle on a high observation deck alongside Auzituck, his old friend's son and Senator of the planet, as well as Han Solo. He had good relations with Solo and was behind him for the entirety of the battle. Tarfful, while not a general, carefully planned out the placement of troops and warriors with Jedi Knights Luminara Unduli and Quinlan Vos.
