Chelch Dravvad, also known as Jimmy Smitts in the crime underworld, was a Human male who served as the senator for the Corellian sector during the first decades of the New Republic. He was also a member of the New Republic Advisory Council some twenty-five years after the Battle of Yavin.
He was a supporter of the Jedi Knights once he was convinced of the threat posed by the Yuuzhan Vong, but initially Luke Skywalker did not know that he had an ally in him. Dravvad argued with Chief of State Borsk Fey'lya when the Bothan politician became a clear opponent of the Jedi. Fey'lya accused the New Republic Defense Force of leaving Bothawui undefended in order to protect the Core Worlds, however Dravvad began an argument about the debate of leaving either Corellia or Bothawui unguarded.
During the Battle of Coruscant, Dravvad managed to escape from Coruscant, setting course for Borleias, where he regrouped with other members of the Advisory Council, including the Quarren would-be Chief of State, Pwoe-Tundra Dowmeia.
